Kangelon (Can-gel-lun) “Kay” Dexter is a Global Product Marketing Intelligence Strategist and entrepreneur advocate. Based in Atlanta, she is passionate about ensuring that the customer’s voice is heard – particularly diverse voices.

Growing up as an Air Force “brat” living around the globe, adapting to new situations, Kay is an advocate for risk-takers, start-ups, and entrepreneurs.

Her career focus has been on consumer buying behaviors, product marketing, market & competitive intelligence, campaign creation and go-to-market. To date, she has managed strategic product launches and promotional marketing campaigns for high-profile brands like NIKE, Chick-Fil-A, GAP Brands, Visa, MasterCard and recently Microsoft Office 365. One career highlight was the creation of the MasterCard Stand Up 2 Cancer Donation Card that allows a portion of each transaction to be donated to Cancer research.

She believes that “the person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.” Kay spends her free time giving back mentoring with middle school and young adults on professional development, personal branding & college prep. She is a proud active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. As well as NAACP, NCNW and WIT. She is also a GA WIN List alumna, Class of 2020.

Her entrepreneurial spirit hits close to home, being the business manager for her artist brother whose painting was inducted into the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

She recently launched “The Corporate Black Girl” that provides content for working “Black Girls” in corporate America.

Kay champions diversity, equity and inclusion as a Global Co-Leader for BUILD: Blacks United In Leadership & Development at Sage Software, an employee affinity group for black colleagues across the globe. Kay is also Sage’s Global 2019 -2020 Inspirational Woman of Year.
